Hi, I'm Neeoray! Friends call me Ray and you should too! =3

AGE 23
Born 1998
Orphan
I was born in November 1998 in an industrial town in nortnern Russia.
Both my parents were young poor students. Father disappeared even before my birth, and my 19 years old mother simply couldn't afford me.
She handed me over to a state orphanage where I lived until age 4.
Then I was taken under guardianship by a pre-retired couple who had been looking after me until I turned 18.
Ironically, I'm an orphan in more ways than one.

ARTIST
Self-taught
Universal
Independent
I have been having an affinity with Art for as long as I can remember. Today,
it is also my main source of income.
Self-taught means that I have been learning and practicing art on my own, with no system and no teachers but with great passion.
Universal means that I practice various mediums, genres and styles of art. Even though I have my set of programs,
habits and preferences, I don't bother with maintaining consistent art style. On the contrary, the more flexible and diverse it is - the better.
Independent is a fancy word for unemployed. It also means that I enjoy the freedom to choose what to create, often without taking any mainstream trends into account.
NON-BINARY
Agender & Demi
Taken ⚣
Non-Binary means that I consider human identities a dynamic spectrum rather than constant characteristics predetermined by biological sex.
Agender means that I do not abide by any gender roles. My biological sex is male but it implies nothing and may not be the basis for any expectations or assumptions. Human before "man".
Demi means that in order for me
to feel sexual and romantic attraction towards a person, we must be mentally compatible and establish a close emotional connection. To put it simply, genitals are fun but their bearer is more important to me.
I'm in a relationship since 2017. My partner Lisey is 25, he is pansexual & genderfluid. We have been living together full-time since 2020.
We've been through so much together and will continue to fight for our future.

HUMANIST
Nonreligious
Pro-science
Humanism and scientific approach are the two most important principles of thinking to me.
I respect people's freedom of religion and conscience, and have my history of religious beliefs too. Today, however, I consider theological systems equal to mythology and folklore.
Religion have no monopoly on morals, especially today when the principles of ethics are universal and largely secular. Empathy, compassion, and sense of justice should be given priority over outdated dogmas and claims with no proven grounds.
I also want to indicate it clearly:
I do not tolerate fundamentalist biases and aggression, toxic traditions and similar harmful practices of any sort. They are wrong and must be left in the past, and I'll keep working to contribute to this goal of the humanity.
WANDERER
No national
or ethnical
identities
Even though I was born in Russia and have Russian citizenship, I do not consider it my home country.
How come? There are two parts to it, let's call them history and choice.
History is what happened beyond my control and largely affected me.
In short, this country did more than enough to alienate me, to make me feel alone, unwelcomed and unsafe.
Choice is my conscious decision to cease all ties with this country. If I had different experience or Kremlin took another path, my decision could have been different, but the war in Ukraine became the last straw and my partner and I have left Russia, possibly forever.
Wanderer is a word to indicate my situation of uncertainty. We are not going back but we have no status elsewhere. At some point we might have to seek asylum.

CONCERNED
Small solo
activist
"Activist" might be a big word so I'm either a small one or still a wannabe.
I'm just trying to act in the humble ways accessible to me, like writing essays, making art and educational materials.
Humanism. As I mentioned before, I believe in the precedence of empathy, compassion and justice. I stand with
the principles of acceptance, diversity, and peace. It's not just general words but this box is too small to write much.
Environment. Climate change, habitat restoration and conservation, efficient and sustainable living, decreasing car dependency and making pedestrian-friendly cities. All of these and more are the topics that I'm interested in.
Science. I believe that critical thinking, research, experimentation and invention will help us solve many of our global and personal problems, satisfy our curiosity, and shed light on some of the more existential matters.
RÉSUMÉ
It's not a super serious résumé, more like just a very short summary of my skills and interests for general use.
EDUCATION
Proudly self-taught in nearly every skill I have.
No higher education due to insufficient access to quality education.
11 grades of state school in a small Russian town. It means no fun courses, no such thing as GPA, no clubs, no serious volunteership, nothing fancy.

Heck, there should be a pretty long text, but I really need to have the website published already. I'll update it once the text is finished. Sorry for inconvenience if anyone is seeing this. <w>
FOREWORD
I believe that people should openly talk about their experiences, especially tragic ones. It never hurts to remind the society of the many problems it has. People in distress must be shown that they are not alone in their struggles, and people with dormant minds must be waken up and told "come on, evil is real and we must fight it together!"
1998-2002
Born - 4
I was born on November 6th, 1998. Please don't you dare to apply astrology bullshit to me. Yes-yes, "typical scorpion". Anyways, I was born in an industrial town in the centre of Komi Republic, it's north european part of Russia, rich in oil and poor in terms of quality of life. 7 years passed since the USSR collapsed and things were still quite dire, especially in provincial towns and villages.
Both my parents were young poor students. Father disappeared even before my birth, and my 19 years old mother simply couldn't afford me. I know very little of them, what I managed to learn is that my mother was an orphan herself, she gave premature birth at her communal dorm room, there were complications and I almost died. What's more important though is that both my biological parents were artists.
Soon after my birth, my mother's parental rights were terminated and I was left at a state orphanage where I lived until age 4. I don't remember anything from that time, hopefully my nutrition was sufficient and treatment adequate. I can only speculate how these tragic early years of my life affected me long-term.
